Last Summer Outfit for a Day in Opatija

Last Summer Outfit in Opatija

Slowly but surely summer days are now behind us but before fall has officially started I had the chance to go on a day trip to Opatija to enjoy my last day at the beach for this season.

I felt very grateful that in the middle of September I was able to wear this kind of outfit which is for sure something I would wear for those very hot days as I have mentioned in one of my previous posts. Luckily, the weather here in Croatia was really perfect and sunny these last few days so I even had the chance to have a swim, I couldn't be any happier, to be honest! :)

I have visited Opatija before a few times and I have even written a post with my top recommendations on what to see and do there but this place always amazes me! Every time I found new perfect spots for photos and as it was the end of the season everything was really nice and tranquil.

My friend and I arrived at noon and went first to have a coffee, which was absolutely delicious, and then we had a nice walk looking for the best locations for our pictures. After that, we grabbed some sandwiches, ate with the beautiful sea view, and then went straight to the beach.

The sea was perfect and on the beach, there was plenty of space so social distancing was not a problem ;)

Now let's talk about the outfit, I was wearing another of my recent Zara purchases,
this green floral skirt, which is actually a pair of shorts (how convenient, right?) has been in my summer wishlist for so long and when I saw it was on sale, I knew I had to have them! I think the green color is really classic and easy to style and I also love the fit and how flattering it looks. I would totally say this is also another summer staple that I would be wearing next year as well.

I paired the skirt with this Zara basic white t-shirt, which I love because it has that nice interesting shape on the shoulders but without having the shoulder pads, which I actually like and I think that they are super trendy but I don't think they look so good on me, so it's great that I can get that look without them ;)

Anyway, I'm very happy I was able to visit the sea before the temperatures start to get lower and also that I was able to wear these recent purchases. I still have to change my wardrobe and put on the cozy and warm pieces on my closet, how is it going for you so far? Have you already changed your closet to your fall wardrobe or not like me? Let me know in the comments! Hope you had enjoyed the post! :)

What I Wore to my First Week at Work

What I wore this week: Work Edition

This post is a little bit of a life update mixed with a "what I wore this week" kind of post because I wanted to let you know that I have found a new job recently and I have started to work again this month. So I thought it was a good idea to show you what I have decided to wear for my first week at a new job!

Getting dressed every morning to go to work can be really challenging because we always want to come up with new and interesting looks and we feel like we need to be buying new clothes all the time to look different but it doesn't have to be like that at all.

What I wore to work 1
Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday

To me, the fun part of this is getting creative and try to mix the pieces you already have in different ways so that you can always have a new look even if you are repeating some of your clothes. Let's face it, this way is much more realistic and sustainable because we don't have an endless budget for clothing.

So, my biggest advice when it comes to creating your perfect work wardrobe is to rely on your basics because they will always look good and they are very easy to style and combine in different ways. I also find that picking neutral colors is the best option for your office outfits because they look professional (especially grey and blue) and you can always look put together without making a big effort.

Anyway, let's talk about what I wore for my first week at a new job. The idea with these outfits is that I wanted to create a good first impression and look professional because I'm new at this office but also I wanted to keep things casual because that is the dress code at this workplace and I wanted to merge well with the rest of my coworkers.

That's why you will see that my outfits are very basic and casual, so if you have a more formal office environment maybe you can consider some changes to this outfits, for example changing the jeans for some dressier pants or the sneakers for some cute flats.

I hope you find this post useful and please let me know which are your favorite pieces to wear to work?

How I style my Red Adidas Gazelle?

Do you remember one of my last posts in which I talked about my obsession with Adidas Gazelle? Well, as you may have imagined, I ended up buying a pair of Adidas sneakers for myself because I couldn't resist it!  I have to confess that I wasn't 100% sure about the colour, I didn't know if I wanted something more neutral like black or blue or something more eye catching like red or green but then I realised that I normally wear neutral colours on my clothing pieces, so I thought that it would be a great idea to take a risk with the colour of my Gazelle. Because, as I always wear neutrals it was going to be very easy to combine them with everything and also it was going to be a great way to put the accent of an outfit on the shoes, something that I always like to do :)
So, I finally decided to buy the red Adidas and I couldn't be happier, the tone of red they have is very bright but still very easy to combine. It looks perfect with black, white, blue, grey, beige, green, whatever colour you would like to pair them with. They are a great addition to my wardrobe and they always give me that extra touch of street style chicness. I love them!
For today's post, I want to show you how I used to style them while I was back in the Croatian winter. I wore this outfit to go exploring the city of Samobor, which I will show you in a future post, and I picked a black pair of jeans from Mango with my favourite new grey sweater from Pull & Bear. As you can see it's a very dark and neutral outfit but with that pop of colour on the shoes. I also added a green military inspired coat from Stradivarius, which I bought on sale and my favourite scarf from H&M. I love that scarf because it has a very nice colour combination of grey and beige which makes it so easy to pair with any other colour. To end up the outfit, I wore a cute beige backpack from Zara because it was very practical to carry around my camera, phone and all that stuff while exploring a new city ;)
Hope you like this outfit and please let me know if you normally choose more neutral shoes or if you like to add a pop of colour with them like me?

My Outfit for my brother's wedding party!

As I mentioned last week, my brother got married so I really wanted to share with you what I wore for his wedding party! They had a really nice and lovely backyard ceremony and thankfully the weather was just perfect, not to hot and not to cold to be outside. After that we enjoyed some delicious food and cocktails in the backyard as well, and then we went inside to continue with the party! I had an excellent time and I danced a lot!!
But anyway, going back to the outfit, I bought everything I was wearing during my trip to Zagreb because I didn't have anything I wanted to wear at home. I always seem to find some great pieces when I'm travelling so I thought that for this occasion I would do the same.
I found this gorgeous little black dress from a brand called Morgan de Toi at a store in the Arena Centar shopping mall in Zagreb, which had the the perfect fit for me and also very nice details. Plus, this dress was on sale, so I really got it for a very low price, which is always great! I honestly, didn't want to wear black to the wedding but I tried some other dresses and none of them looked as good as this one on me.
The next step was finding the perfect pair of shoes and I wasn't sure if i wanted to wear black as well or try with a different color, maybe gold or nude. But, in another visit to Arena Centar I found some stunning stilettos from Nine West, which were black with golden heels and I instantly fell in love with them. They were also on sale, so there was no way I could resist them :)
Last but not the least, I bought a golden clutch from Calliope, which is pretty simple but as the rest of the pieces were quite especial I didn't want it to be too much, so this one was just perfect to complete the outfit! Hope you like it as much as I did!! :)

My Outfit for My Brother's Civil Wedding

Last week was a bit crazy for me because it was time to go back home from Croatia and also there were a lot of family events waiting for me in Buenos Aires. I landed last Monday evening and I had my mother's birthday on Wednesday and the next day it was my brother's civil wedding ceremony. Also, on Saturday we had the wedding party so I actually decided my return date based on these especial events because I wanted to be present for my family.
The good thing about this was that I was able to see my entire family all at once at the wedding ;) but I still didn't have time to see my friends. Anyway, I was very very happy and excited to share this very important moment with my family and for today's post, I want to show you the outfit I wore for the civil ceremony. The outfit for the wedding party I will show you in another post ;)
I have to confess that I was so focused on the party outfit that I didn't exactly plan what to wear for the civil ceremony but I was able to create a very nice and appropriate outfit with a few clothes I bought in Croatia. Well, I actually bought everything in Croatia but the blazer and sunglasses :P
So, I decided to wear a pair of blue skinny jeans from Zara because they look very polished but still quite casual and I paired them with a beautiful top from Massimo Dutti, which was one of the things I bought during the sale in Croatia. I added a black blazer from Desiderata, which I already had at home and a pair of sandals from H&M. Also. to include a little bit of colour, I wore the bag from Aldo that I also bought at their store in Zagreb because I think it's beautiful and fun. So I hope you like my outfit and I will show you the one for the wedding party very soon! :)

Burgundy Touch

I mentioned many times before that I love to put the accent in the shoes, and this outfit that I share today it's a clear example! I styled this almost total black outfit with my burgundy boots which I like a lot because I think they are really chic and I really like this color a lot.
I wore the black jeans I bought in Stradivarius with the jacket my parents gave me for my birthday last year, which I think I haven't showed you before and I added this lovely backpack from Isadora which I think looks really cute and it's so comfortable for the everyday life. I hope you like this outfit and have a great week!!

Wearing my new boyfriend jeans!

As I have told you in my post last week I was finally able to find a nice pair of boyfriend jeans which fit me perfectly! So today I'm very happy to show you how I styled them! First of all, I think they look so much better with heels, so I paired them with my boots from Clona, which have a very nice heel and also are very comfortable. Then I wore a nice red sweater from Zara to add some color and to finish I decided to add the leather jacket I bought in Mango last year, during my eurotrip, because is really stylish and elegant and I thought I would balance the casual touch of the jeans. What do you think of this outfit? I hope you like it as much as I do, I'm very happy with my boyfriend jeans :)

Summer days

Nothing says summer like a pair of white jeans, there's nothing like wearing them on a sunny day around the city. They always make me feel light and stylish, so the white jeans are one of my top summer must have, along with the white dress which I'm still looking for.
So, for this outfit I'm wearing my white jeans with this top from Desiderata, because I love the color combination and the tropical print it has and I got a very bright look, hope you like it! :)
