Haul: My Birthday Gifts!

Last week I was a little missing from blogging because it was my birthday on Wednesday! I have spent the most beautiful and relaxed birthday, enjoying time with my family and my friends. And I have to say that this year I feel so grateful for all the amazing experiences I had, all the great people I have met and all the love I have received!
But for today's post, I would like to share with you the gifts I have received and I couldn't be any happier because my friends and family gave me some incredible gifts!! So let's start!!

Firstly, my mom and dad gave me two awesome gifts: a pair of sunglasses which I'm completely in love with and a lovely mug! The sunglasses are from a brand called Union Pacific and I really like this brand because of their quality and their designs. This pair looks different from the other ones I have so I can't wait to start wearing them! On the other hand, the mug is completely adorable!! I love the golden details and I think it looks so Instagram perfect! 

Then my brother and his wife gave this gorgeous bag from XL. I fell in love with this bag right away because I think it has the perfect size to fit everything I need without being too big! Also, the color is great and so easy to style!! I feel I'm going to wear this bag with every single outfit :)

Last but not the least my friends bought me the Smoothing Oil-Infused Leave-In Concentrate hair serum from Kiehl's. My friends know me very well and they know how much I love to use different hair products and also how much I love Kiehl's so I was extremely happy with this gift! I thought it was very original and so useful!!

So, those were all the gifts I have received for my birthday. I couldn't be any happier with these gifts!! Please let me know what do you think and which one is your favorite :)

My birthday gifts!

Hello everyone!! First of all, I wanted to thank all of you for your birthday wishes!! I really enjoyed my day with my friends and family and in today's post I want to show all the nice presents I received!
We start with this gorgeous Nike backpack my parents gave me! It's so large and comfortable and really feel like I can carry all my stuff in it! It has a special pocket inside to put the laptop and it's full of other pockets to keep all my things organized. Also I love the color, I think it's fun but still sober. So, I'm super happy with this backpack, I think it's perfect for my future trips ;)

Then, I received a very cute french manicure set from my french teacher!! I think it was the cutest present  and I really like it because it's been a while since I haven't done french manicure to my nails. 

In third place, I have recieved this lovely purse from one of my friends. I love the color!! Never had anything in neon yellow and I think it's super bright and beautiful!

I also received this wallet from my cousin, which is great because it has a lot of space to keep all my credit cards organized inside, so that's pretty useful!

Last but not the least, my brother gave me this beautiful top from Billabong! I'm so in love with it, I think the color and pattern are great, perfect for the summer, but what I love the most is that it shows off the shoulders. I can't wait to wear it! ;)

28 Facts about Me

Well, yesterday was my 28th birthday! So I wanted to do a special post to celebrate it with you. I think it's a very fun idea to share 28 random facts about me in order for you to get to know me a little bit better. Hope you find this facts interesting and entertaining! ;)

Let's start!

1- My complete name is Andrea Elizabeth Barbieri. Before I was born, my dad wanted to name me after my two grandmothers because it was some kind of family tradition. So, my name would have been María Zulema but my mom didn't agree to that, because she didn't like those names for me. They are bit antique really, so my mom chose Andrea, which was the name my grandmother had suggested and then Elizabeth because she liked it.

2- I was born in September 27th. I'm a Libra and all my friends and family knows that I'm an astrology freak!! I love reading about astrology, about the different aspects of the planets and I'm trying to self learn about natal charts. Whenever I meet a new person I'm always asking about the zodiac sing ;)

3- I love watching sports, especially football! But, I'm not good at team sports at all! All the sports I have enjoyed in my life were individual sports, like skating, rowing and now I'm only doing some running, pilates and yoga.

4- I'm not good at cooking but I'm great at baking! I normally prepare some really simple meals for me, mostly salads, because that's what I like to eat, so if someone asks me to prepare something more complex, I have no idea how to do it. But if you ask me to prepare a lemon pie or a carrot cake, I'm the best at it!

5- I used to be afraid of airplanes until last year, because I have never been in one before. But I took so many planes between last year and this one that I'm no longer afraid of flying ;)

6- Before having the blog, I used to work in a local radio show every saturday. I love talking and radio broadcast is my favourite activity in the media.

7- I'm not good at watching TV series. I never finish them.

8- I love listening to every kind of music and I enjoy creating playlists in Spotify.

9- When I was younger, I used to hate make up and nail polish. I was kind of a tomboy.

10- I love reading. My favourite topics are biographies and historic novels.

11- I have studied Communications and Journalism, mostly because I enjoy researching about random stuff.

12- I love learning languages. I have self learnt english and I'm currently studying french and I just started to study croatian. I love it, it's so different! 

13- Part of my family is italian, but I don't speak italian that much.

14- I can't wink or raise just one eyebrow.

15- My favourite food is pizza and my favourite meal of the day is breakfast!

16- My favourite drink is lemonade because I love everything with lemon!

17- I get up very early everyday, at 5:30am, because I like to take my time to get ready.

18- That also means, I go to bed early too, around 10:30 or 11pm.

19- I like to write everything down and to take notes, so I'm always buying notepads and planners.

20- I love wearing jeans all the time and I normally buy dark blue skinny jeans so it looks like I'm always wearing the same pair of jeans but I'm not.

21- My favourite nail polish color is red.

22- My favourite accesories are watches and sunglasses.

23- I'm a very nostalgic person so I like to collect all sort of things that remind me of something, like tickets, coins, letters, pictures, anything.

24- I love talking to people, that's why I sometimes end up in conversations with random people in the street.

25- I love dancing, I used to be embarrassed when I was younger but then I realized that nobody really cares if you are a good dancer or not, the only important thing is to enjoy the music ;)

26- What I like the most about blogging is that it allows you to learn about some other incredible bloggers around the world, about new products, new brands, trends, etc.

27- I still haven't learn how to drive. I never have time to take driving lessons, I hope I can do it soon.

28- My biggest dream is to do something that's relevant and fulfilling to people

Birthday Wishlist!

Bueno mañana es mi cumpleaños! Voy a cumplir 28 años ya, el tiempo pasa muy rápido pero estoy muy agradecida por las hermosas experiencias que pude vivir este año y estoy entusiasmada por los nuevos desafíos y situaciones que se van a presentar en este nuevo año de mi vida. Por eso antes de ponerme más reflexiva sobre la vida, les quería compartir una wishlist de cumpleaños que armé de una de mis tiendas online favoritas, The Net Boutique. So tomorrow is my birthday!! I'm turning 28 years old, time is running so fast but I'm quite grateful for the amazing experiences I had this year and I'm looking forward to the new challenges and situations this new year is going to bring to my life. Seize your Style Second Birthday!!

Todavía no puedo creer que ya pasaron dos años desde que comencé este blog! Este ha sido un camino increíble para mí y estoy muy contenta de haber tomado la decisión de empezar, de dejar de lado todos mis miedos y dudas para animarme con este proyecto. Durante este tiempo, aprendí mucho sobre la moda, sobre la gente, sobre nuevas marcas, sobre el estilo, sobre el mundo y, más que nada, sobre mí misma. Espero poder continuar este compromiso con el blog y poder hacerlo crecer en el futuro. Pero quiero reconocer con mucho orgullo todo el trabajo, esfuerzo y amor que puse durante este tiempo en cada post. Quiero agradecerle a cada una de las personas que leyeron mis posts, que entraron a mi blog, que comentaron, a las marcas que me contactaron y confiaron en mí. Realmente significa muchísimo para mí!!!!! Gracias a todos!!! :)

I still can't believe two years have passed since I have started to write this blog!! This have been an incredible journey for me and I am so happy that I took the decision to start and put aside my fears and doubts. I have learnt so much about fashion, about people, about new brands, about style, about the world and mostly about myself. I hope I can continue to be engaged with this project and that I can make it grow in the future. But I'm really proud of all the work, effort and love I have put in this blog for such a long time. My Birthday Presents

Como les mencioné en mi último post, el domingo pasado fue mi cumpleaños! Cumplí 27 años e hice una pequeña celebración con mi familia y amigos. A pesar de que el viernes pasado había armado esa pequeña wishlist con cosas muy interesantes debo decir que los regalos que recibí fueron aún más lindos y estoy super agradecida :) Así que se los comparto!

As I mentioned in my previous post, last sunday was my birthday! I turned 27 and had a very nice celebration with my friends and family. And even though I had prepared that little wishlist I posted last friday with very interesting things I have to say that I received even more beautiful presents for which I'm very grateful :) and I wanted to share them with you! 

I'm so in love with this passport case my cousing gave me! It's so lovely!!!

Seize your Style's First Birthday!!

No puedo creer que ya pasó 1 año desde que empecé con el blog!! Hace un año, tuve la idea de crear Seize your Style como una forma de compartir mi pasión por la moda, para tener un lugar para ser creativa, para tener un lugar en el cual pudiera escribir mis ideas y pensamientos y este blog me ha dado todas esas cosas y muchas más. Descubrí un mundo nuevo con mucha gente en lugares distintos que comparte esta misma pasión, encontré puertas nuevas que me acercaron un poco al lugar en el que quiero estar y encontré gente que dio su apoyo al blog y a mi trabajo y me siento muy agradecida por eso. Así que quiero aprovechar hoy para agradecer a toda la gente que me apoyo y para celebrar con ustedes!

I can't believe that it has been 1 year already since I have started this blog!! One year ago I had the idea of creating Seize your Style as a way to share my passion for fashion, to have a place to be creative, to have a place in which I could write my ideas and thoughts and this blog has given me those things and some much more. I have discovered a new world, a lot of people in many different places that share this passion, I have found new doors that got me closer to where I want to be and people who supported this blog and my work and I am very grateful for that. So today I want to thank everyone who supported me and the blog and celebrate with all of you!
