How to Live a Never Ending Weekend with True and Co

Never Ending Weekend

This last month has been quite a transition for me since I have started to work again after a little bit more than a year of being away from the office life.
Getting back on track with the 9-5 and keeping it up with my blog has been quite a challenge but I'm doing my best to balance everything and also enjoy a little bit of this process.

Being unemployed for more than a year has taught me a lot of important lessons, especially in regards to time management, because when you don't have a tight and organized schedule it is easy to lay back and miss some of your tasks and goals. But also I feel like I was able to learn to enjoy myself a lot more during all these months. I was able to create a set of daily rituals that helped me to practice a little bit of self-care and to stay positive and motivated during this period.

So, when I discovered  the concept of the weekend mindset that the people of True and co. have developed, I felt I was completely aligned with this topic because I'm seeing myself now in the process of trying to incorporate those rituals I have mentioned into my new work-life routine.

I guess you may be thinking: what is exactly that weekend mindset? Well, it basically refers to all those things that we do during our weekends that make us feel good and enjoy but instead of just waiting impatiently for Friday to come so that we can start doing any of those things, the idea is that we can incorporate them into our work week too so that we can live in a "never-ending weekend". Sounds good, right?

I feel it's totally necessary to have those little moments of comfort during the week as well to help us feel more energized to achieve all of our goals and aspirations. Our normal work week doesn't have to be just a lot of tasks and obligations we have to do in order to earn the pleasures of the weekend. If we can bring those pleasures into the weekly routine we can feel good and enjoy every single day.

And it doesn't have to be anything too complicated really, just think about those little moments and things that you do during the weekends to recharge, to take care of yourself, to enjoy and to have fun.

How to spend a never ending weekend

In my particular case, during the weekend I usually tend to rest a lot to recharge my batteries. I totally enjoy sleeping a little bit extra on Saturdays and Sundays because I find it very important to have my energy levels back to the top! Therefore, I always choose to wear something that feels very comfy and soft for maximum relaxation. At True and Co they totally understand this and that's why they have created a special selection of bras, which combine the perfect amount of luxury and comfort. Wearing one of these bras will definitely make you feel that relaxed weekend vibe.

Also, weekends are the perfect time to organize and get ready for the week ahead. Whether is thinking about the outfits I'm going to wear, or the food I need to prepare, doing my nails or just cleaning and organizing my clothes, I have found that taking the time to prepare myself for the week ahead really helps me a lot to be less stressed during those weekdays that I have a lot more things to do and less time.

Then, on the other hand, the little rituals I have added to my work week to make me feel good are, in the first place, listening to an upbeat playlist on my way to the office. I'm definitely a morning person and listening to some of my favorites songs while I'm going to work helps me to start my day in a positive mood. Also, it's a very simple way to add some of that fun from the weekend into any day of the week.

And, in the second place, I normally try to enjoy a sweet treat in the middle of the week since sweets are not just made for the weekends. I love taking a little pause in my day to drink some tea and enjoy a piece of cake, or a delicious croissant, some chocolate, anything you like is a good option! The important thing here is that you make that pause to enjoy something that makes you feel good and puts you in a good humor to continue with your day!

Weekend mindset

Also, if you are able to organize a quick coffee date with one of your friends on a Wednesday afternoon, for example, that would be a great way to disconnect from your duties and obligations, relax, catch up and raise your positive energy!

There are tons of ways to bring some of that spark from the weekend to your normal weekdays and as you can see, it's really easy to do! These are the things that I am currently doing but I would love to know what do you usually do to enjoy your weekends? And in case you also bring some of those weekend rituals to your working days I would love to know what those are?

Seize your Style 4th Year Blog Anniversary

Can you believe it's been 4 years since I have started blogging? Because I can't believe it! I still remember it like yesterday, when I published my first post on the 1st of May 2014. I remember I started that day because it was my day off from work so I could use that time for blogging.

A lot of things have happened since that day, and I'm very happy to see that my little blog has grown so much! And also blogging has made me grow a lot as a person because I have discovered a creative side of me I didn't know I had.

In the beginning, my biggest fear was running out of content but thankfully I was able to keep the consistency in this blog for the last four years. I think this is one of my biggest accomplishments and it's something I'm very proud of.

Blogging also brought me a lot of opportunities, not only collaboration opportunities but also, the opportunity of writing about different topics, of experimenting and improving my photography skills, of meeting new and amazing people, of discovering great brands. Blogging has given me the opportunity to be learning and evolving all the time and it's one of the things I love the most about this path.

I feel like this last year that I was able to put more time and effort to my blog, it was when I saw the biggest growth. Not so much in numbers but I feel like the overall quality has been improved and it's more professional now. I have also started to really network and participate in the blogging community last year, and that allowed me to meet some really amazing people, inside and outside of the web.

So, I would like to take this opportunity to once again thank you all for your incredible support! To everyone who has ever commented here, I'm very thankful for your words. It always makes me very happy to read your thoughts, to interact and to know that there is someone there who may be reading what I'm writing. Thank you so much for reading, commenting, liking, following and supporting me!

I'm very excited for the future of my blog! I'm very motivated to continue working on it and continue growing and evolving! Thank you for being there and let's celebrate together today! :)

3 Tips on How to Shop from Chinese Websites

Last year I have started to collaborate with a lot of Chinese websites and as I have been reviewing and promoting a lot of their items lately I thought it was a good idea to share with you some of my tips on how to shop on this kind of web stores because I know that there are a lot of doubts in regards to the quality and the sizes of the clothes.

So, in case you are considering shopping and giving Chinese websites a go, I would like to help you to get exactly what you want from the shop and give you my tips so that you don't get any surprises once the package arrives. Also, these tips would be very useful for shopping online in general, not only on Chinese websites, because as you are not trying the clothes you want to make sure that everything fits you and it's exactly what you are looking for.

So, let's get started with the tips! ;)

1- Check the size chart and all the measurements

This information is key for you to get the size that fits you perfectly! My advice would be to not follow your traditional size if you normally buy an S or an M that may not be the case here. So what you have to do is look at the size chart and then the Size Conversion Chart where you can see all the measurements for each size and for that specific piece of clothing. Do this with each item you would like to shop since not all of them are cut the same. Normally Asian sizes tend to be a little smaller than the regular sizes but that doesn't apply to all the items. I have bought some items in my normal size, which is S, but also I have bought some pieces in sizes M or even L, so it really depends on each particular piece. An extra tip would be to always have a centimeter handy when you are shopping to measure yourself and see how long or not that piece would be. Your centimeter is your best friend here!

For Example, you would like to buy the S, so you see that it corresponds to Size 4 (US)

Then you can see on the Size Conversion Chart, which are the measurements for size 4 (US) and the equivalent sizes.

2- Always read the description to check the information about materials and colors

I have read this a lot in different blogger reviews: "the color wasn't exactly as the one in the picture" and to avoid having this problem, the best solution is to read the description. There you will find which is the exact color of that piece you would like to buy. Because sometimes the pictures tend to be confusing in regards to the colors if they have some kind of filter the color may look a bit different from what it is like in real life.
In fact, this happened to me with a bomber jacket I have recently received, from the picture I thought it was brown and beige and I ordered it. The truth is I didn't read the description and then when the jacket arrived it was actually black and beige so I checked back on the website to see if I had mistaken and requested a different color but no, it was actually black just the picture looked different because it had some kind of filter.
This same rule applies to the materials, everything looks pretty on the pictures but if you are not sure about the fabric, the best is to read on the description to find out if it is all polyester or a mix of cotton and polyester,  etc. By doing this you make sure you won't get any surprises when the package arrives, and you get exactly what you wanted.

3- Read the reviews

Last but not the least, I would advise you to look for the reviews of other people who have already bought that item. This would give you an idea of how the product worked for them. In most of the cases, customers even put a picture of them wearing the item so this is even better for you to see how the piece actually looks like!
This is something very positive I have seen on Chinese websites since most of the products have some kind of review, which includes pictures and I find this super helpful.

So, this is it!! I really hope this post was helpful to those of you who may be considering buying something from a Chinese website. In my personal experience, I have received exactly what I was expecting most of the times, just one time I received a necklace that was broken but all the rest of the items were perfect and I think these tips would help you to shop smartly if you want to get something from this type of shops.

Rosegal Valentine's Day Wishlist

February is normally mentioned as the month of love because of Valentine's Day! This day is the perfect opportunity to show some love to your partner but also to your friends and family as well because love is present in all of our important and meaningful personal relationships. It's the perfect time to show your appreciation by finding the perfect present for your loved ones but also another great way to show them how much you care is by spending time with them, thinking about a nice activity that you can enjoy together!
So, if you are looking for the perfect present I highly suggest you check out Rosegal! This web store has everything for him and her and they are currently having some amazing promotions to help you find the Best Valentines Gift

For those of you who maybe prefer to celebrate by having a nice date with your loved one, I have specially prepared this post to show you some of my favorites from Rosegal Valentines Gift in the form of two different outfits ideas for that special day!

Instead of going for the typical colors of Valentine's Day, which are red and pink because these are the colors that represent love, I thought about creating two outfits with two different main colors which are super classic and stylish: Black and white! I paired both of them with golden details for an extra touch of luxury ;)

There is no way you can go wrong with a nice black dress, what I loved about this particular one is that is very versatile and easy to style up or down depending on your needs.
In this case, I thought about styling this dress up, because it's for a date night so I paired it with those amazing shoes that have very subtle golden and leopard details which I think makes them a very special piece to wear with a basic dress like this one. Last but not the least, I added a black bag with also a gold detail on the chain and a beautiful necklace to complete the outfit.

For this other outfit, I picked this gorgeous white lace dress. I have been obsessed with this kind of dresses for such a long time because I find them very elegant and feminine so I'm sure this would be a perfect choice for a Valentine's Day night out.
I have also picked golden accessories to go with this dress, those golden shoes look extremely luxurious and glamorous and the earrings are the perfect complement to this outfit. Last but not the least, I have picked a tanned colored bag with a golden bucket detail that matches perfectly with everything else.

What do you think about these two outfits? Have you already in mind what are you going to wear for Valentine's? I would love to know! Also, don't forget that you can find the Best Valentines Gift 2018 on Rosegal, so if you are still looking for the perfect gift for your loved one, go check out this site! ;)

Zaful Embroidered Skirt

Zaful Embroidered Skirt Seize your Style!

As I have mentioned in one of my previous posts, I had recently received some great items from Zaful because I'm currently collaborating with this store. I was still owing you two more pieces I have got from them, which I have to say I'm totally in love with!!

Zaful Embroidered Skirt Seize your Style 2

The first one and this is definitely my favorite of all, is this gorgeous Mini Floral Embroidered Flare Skirt. I can't tell you how much in love with this skirt I am because it's such a statement piece that I'm absolutely sure will elevate any outfit!
I got it in a size M and it fits me perfectly. It looks exactly like it was on the website and the embroidered details look amazing! I'm very surprised at the quality of this garment.

Zaful Embroidered Skirt Seize your Style 3

So, I'm more than excited to show you how I have styled it! As the skirt was going to be the main focus of this outfit, I have decided to wear it with some basics, such as a plain white t-shirt from H&M, these gorgeous black sandals also from H&M and a nice bag from Carpisa. I really love how everything looked together and I can't wait to wear this skirt again!

Zaful Embroidered Skirt Seize your Style 4

On the other hand, I have also received the Frayed Hem Floral Embroidered Ripped Shorts, which I'm also very satisfied with. I got them in the size M and they also fit perfectly. They are white denim shorts and I really like the quality of the fabric. As you can see I'm a little bit obsessed with embroidered details so I totally fell in love when I saw the flower details in these shorts. I think it looks super cute and perfect for the summer!

Zaful Embroidered Shorts Seize your Style

I didn't have the chance to wear these lovely shorts but I think I would style them with a basic dark grey, black or green tank top, and some cute sandals.

I really hope you like them and please let me know which item is your favorite? :)

Off the Shoulder Top from Zaful

Zaful Striped Off The Shoulder Top

Some months ago, I have started to collaborate with Zaful and I was very excited about showing you the new items I have received from them this time! :)
In this post, I would like to show you one of my favorite pieces, which is this puff sleeve striped blouse with choker. I have mentioned before how obsessed I am with this trend because I think it looks very feminine and chic. Also, I love stripes so this top looked like the perfect thing for me!

Zaful Striped Off The Shoulder Top 2

I got this top in a size S and I have to say that the sizing was perfect! I was actually worried that it may be a little bit short but this top has the perfect length. I'm also very surprised at the quality of the fabric, it's very soft and it's not transparent at all.
The top comes with a choker made of the same fabric that really complements it. I think this detail really adds a plus to the garment because you can wear it both ways, with the choker or without it and that way you can get two different looks ;)

Zaful Striped Off The Shoulder Top 3

I paired this top with some distressed denim jeans from Zara, my favorite nude loafers from H&M and a bag with a similar nude color from XL to create a very summery and girly look.

Zaful Striped Off The Shoulder Top 4

In addition, I got two necklaces from the site. The first one is this Rhinestone moon leaf pendant layered necklace that I'm wearing on this outfit and I'm so in love with it because it looks like I have stacked my jewelry perfectly but it's all just one necklace. I also love that it has that kind of astral theme with those little half moons. It looks lovely!

Zaful Necklace

The other necklace I got from Zaful was supposed to be the Alloy feather pendant necklace but unfortunately, they didn't send me that. When I opened the package, there was only a part of the gold chain and no feathers. I'm going to include the picture of the necklace from the website and what I got in the mail for you to see the difference.

It was a bit disappointing to me because I was having a great experience with this website and this was the first time I didn't receive exactly what I have ordered. Also, I felt a little sad because all the other items were great and came in perfect condition but I have to share with you my complete experience, with the good and the bad things.

I have also received two more items which I'm dying to show you but they will be featured in a future post, so stay tuned;) Hope you like this outfit and let me know your thoughts on the top and the necklace :)

How to get the perfect #OOTD

I don't consider myself as a photography expert but after being a blogger for more than 3 years now, I realized I have learned a few things along the way. Photography is a very important aspect of the blogging world, especially when we talk about fashion and beauty bloggers.
We are constantly looking for beautiful images to share with our readers and followers, either through our blog posts or through our social media. Almost any small moment of our life can potentially become the main character of a post, from the morning coffee to a new pair of shoes or the most typical one, the outfit of the day.
Even though we are used to seeing these images all the time on the Internet, we sometimes don't realize how much time and effort there is behind the scenes of that picture.
So, that's why I have decided to write this post to show you a little bit more about how I plan and do the pictures for my blog. What things I take into account in order to obtain the best possible photography to share with you.
In regards to the outfit pictures, everything starts with planning the outfit I'm going to shoot. Most of the times, I have a couple of outfits in my mind so I try them on at home to see which one looks better and then I decide. I also sometimes, try different variations of the same outfit, just changing the shoes, bag or accessories so that I can get more options and ideas.

Once I have the outfit, I think about the location. To me, this step is very important, not only because I love to have some interesting background that is appealing and adds value to the image, but also because I need a quiet location so that I can take as many pictures as I want without being disturbed by people passing by. In addition, I don't know about you but I get a little shy if I see people around me so if I find a quiet location it's better for me because I can relax and that is completely visible in the camera.
On the other side, I always try not to stand directly in front of a wall but to shoot from an angle, that helps a lot to create the deep of field which makes the image more interesting and less plain.

The third thing to consider is definitely the time of the day when you are going to take the pictures. This will not only affect the lighting but also it could determine how crowded a specific place is going to be. In regards to the light, the best times of the day to shoot are during the sunrise and the sunset. They are not called the golden hour for nothing. It's the best moment to get that perfect golden picture that we all want to achieve and that looks so perfect and professional. If I would have to choose between sunrise and sunset, I will probably go for the sunrise because at that time of the day not only the light is perfect but also the streets are almost empty and you can get that picture you want with no people in the background. This is the ultimate pro tip from one of my favorite bloggers, Tamara Kalinic from The Glam and Glitter. She takes incredibly amazing pictures in the most beautiful and touristic spots in the world, like the Coliseum or the Fontana Di Trevi in Rome with no one around her and she mentioned in on a video that she can achieve that by going there super early to shoot, like 6-7am in the morning. When you see the results it's clear that is worth the early morning start :)

The last tip I would include is definitely to take a lot of shots because you never know how much it would take you to get that perfect gesture or pose so it's better to try different things and do a lot of pictures. In this way, you will always have a lot of options to choose from and you will end up posting the best ones, which will definitely increase the quality of your pictures.

So, as you can see getting the perfect pictures takes a lot of time, planning and effort. And don't forget that this also includes carrying around heavy camera equipment because the quality you can get with a professional camera makes all the difference. Even though smartphones are getting better and better, a professional camera allows you to put more of yourself into the picture. It gives you a lot of power to create the image you are dreaming about. But I'm not going to lie, many times I regret not carrying my camera and using my phone to take pictures just because it's more practical and lighter. So, when I heard about Light new camera technology I thought my prayers were answered! It has as many possibilities as a professional camera but with the convenient size of a smart phone!

This camera includes many different lenses that work simultaneously to help you achieve the best image with incredible definition, striking colors and details. And all of that with a very practical small size which makes it perfect for the blogger life! I feel like having this camera would be the best and easiest way to always get great quality pictures for the blog and my social media.
Anyway, I hope you have enjoyed this post and please let me know in the comments if you have any other photography tips you would like to share!! I would love to know! :)

Monthly Favorites

I'm so excited because this is the first time I do a Monthly Favourites post!! There were a lot of things I was loving during the last month that I thought it was going to be a great idea to start doing this kind of posts! Please let me know what you think of this one and if you would like me to continue :)

Let's get started!

My first favorite of the month is my new perfume from Givenchy: Ange ou Démon Le Secret Elixir. This was a gift from one of my aunts and I just adore this fragrance! It's very similar to the other Ange ou Démon Le Secret which I already had but this one is more intense. Plus the bottle of this perfume is so stunning, I'm so in love with that crystal shape and the colors of this one are simply beautiful. I'm becoming a huge fan of this Ange ou Démon family of fragrances so I would highly recommend for you to try this one out and let me know what you think.

Then another favorite of the month was definitely my Nilotic Sunrise Lemon Créme. I already did a full review about this product on the blog but I wanted to mention it again because I was using this product a lot on my skin and lips to hydrate and nourish them during the night and I'm loving the results. Plus, the scent of this products is delicious and it also gives you a very pleasant sensation when you apply it. If you are interested in trying this product, remember you can use my special code: LOVESKIN867604 to get 20% OFF!

Another item I would like to mention as a favorite of this month is my pair of Timberland boots. I have bought them back when I was in Croatia and I didn't wear them as much as I thought during the trip. I even thought that maybe it wasn't such a good idea to have bought them. However, since the winter started in Buenos Aires I wore them non stop! I love the brown color and I'm happy I didn't pick the typical yellow Timberland boots because I feel like these ones are easier to style. I wear them with everything!

Last but not the least, I want to include my Mia Astral 2017 planner. I know we are already in August and it's kind of weird to mention a yearly planner as my favorite of the month but the truth is I was using this planner during the last months and It has helped me tons to get organized with my new life. Another thing I love about this planner is that it includes all the main astrological aspects for every day, moon phases and all that kind of stuff which is great for an astrology lover like me :)
Also, it has some spaces to complete how are you feeling today, what are you grateful for, what are your intentions for every new moon and so on. I feel like it's a very important tool to take a few moments every day to think about this stuff and not just about everything you need to do.

So those are my monthly favorites, I hope you have enjoyed reading this post and I would love to get your feedback if you like them and if you would like me to continue with them in the following months! :)
