How I fell back in love with sending cards?

I remember when I was a child I used to love received cards from my birthday. I loved receiving nice words from my friends and being able to re-read them again whenever I felt like it. For some reason, that habit was somehow lost. People in my home country Argentina are not so keen on writing and sending cards anymore for birthdays, weddings or Christmas and I really feel like it's a very nice thing to do. To take the time to write something nice to the people we love, to tell them how thankful we are for having them in our lives. Sometimes only that is a gift on itself. 

When I moved last year to Croatia, I have noticed that people here a little bit more formal than Argentinians, so it's very common that your friends write cards for you whenever they have the opportunity. So since I have come here, I have fallen back in love with writing cards and to send them to my family back home. This is my way to be present with them as well regardless of the distance. 

Christmas is definitely the perfect time to reflect upon all the nice people we have in our lives and it's also the perfect chance to express our love and gratitude to them. It doesn't matter if it's for a friend, for our family, our partner or a very thoughtful coworker, it's always a nice exercise to share some positivity, light, and love in this holiday period. 

I feel like printed cards are a very nice detail nowadays when everything is digitalized but in this globalized world in which we are living, sometimes we would need to send cards to different corners of the planet, which is definitely my case. So I found it very convenient that a service like Paperless Post exists because it has helped me a lot in sending all my Christmas cards to my friends and family in a very fast and practical way. 

Also, I really like that their concept is a little bit different from the regular e-cards we can find online. You can find cards with incredibly beautiful and chic designs by world-famous designers and with the benefit that you can send them through the web. Something that I find very practical when you perhaps don't know the physical address of all your friends but you have an email address for sure ;) Their idea is that you have the same experience of receiving a printed card but in a digital form, something I find very smart and innovative. 

In addition, this is a very eco-friendly option because there is no paper involved and you don't have to worry that your cards get lost in the mail, which is something that may happen sometimes with the regular mail service.

So I would like to invite you all to express yourself during this holiday season, to be thankful for those amazing people we are lucky to have in our lives and tell them how much they mean to us with a very nice Christmas card.

Este año tengo un evento muy importante en Diciembre, se casa una de mis mejores amigas y va a celebrar su casamiento en una hermosa casa de campo así que a pesar de que todavía falta bastante para la fecha ya estoy muy entusiasmada con esta fiesta y ya estoy buscando el vestido para ponerme. Así que hoy les quiero compartir un poco de inspiración en vestidos de Net-a-Porter, la mejor tienda de marcas de lujo. Ya se que probablemente no vaya a comprarme estos vestidos pero los que seleccioné tienen un precio bastante razonable y son muy hermosos. Espero que les gusten y que si por casualidad también están buscando un vestido para alguna fiesta les haya dado alguna idea! :)

This year I have a very important event in December, one of my best friends is getting married and they are going to celebrate the wedding in a beautiful country house so even though I know there is a lot of time I am very excited about this wedding party and I already started to look for the perfect dress to wear. I know I'm probably not going to buy them but the ones I picked have a reasonable price and they are very beautiful. A colorful present from India

La semana pasada, en mi oficina, tuvimos la visita de nuestro nuevo director de India y además de tener muchas reuniones y pasar tiempo con él para conocerlo, fue una muy grata sorpresa cuando nos dio estar carteras muy lindas como regalo. Somos un equipo muy grande de trabajo y justo la mayoría somos mujeres así que este fue el detalle perfecto para nosotras :)
Había muchos diseños y colores diferentes para elegir y a mi me gustó mucho esta porque me encantaron todos los detalles que tiene y, además porque siempre está bueno agregar un toque dorado a un outfit para que sea más interesante.
Como la cartera ya es bastante llamativa de por sí, creo que la voy a usar más que nada con prendas básicas, como un buen jean, remera blanca y unas lindas chatitas. Es un estilo perfecto para pasear por la ciudad durante los fines de semana. Espero que les guste tanto como a mí!

Last week, at my office we received the visit from our new director from India and apart from having a lot of meetings and spending some time to get to know him, it was such a lovely surprise when he gave us these lovely bags he brought from India. We are a large team with many women so it was the perfect detail for us :)
There were many different designs and colors to choose, and I picked this one because I loved all the details it has and it's always nice to add a golden touch to the accesories to make an outfit more interesting.
As the bag is such a statement itself I think I'm going to be wearing it with basics, such as a nice pair of jeans with a white t-shirt and flats. It's a perect style to go around the city in the weekends. I hope you like it as much as I did! :)

La semana que viene voy a estar yendo a más desfiles del Designers Buenos Aires! El año pasado ya había ido a este evento y la verdad que me gustó mucho ya que es menos masivo que el BAFweek, pero igualmente presenta diseñadores de altísimo nivel. Así que la próxima semana les voy a estar compartiendo más colecciones hermosas para la temporada Primavera Verano!

Next week I will be attending to more fashion shows from the Designers Buenos Aires event! I went last year and I really liked this event because it's less massive than BAFweek and it still has very good quality designers. So I will be showing you more beautiful collections for Spring Summer!

Adidas Sneakers Wishlist

Como probablemente ya han visto, las zapatillas se convirtieron en una pieza infaltable en el mundo de la moda hoy en día. El confort es uno de los elementos principales del estilo actual y podemos ver a las editoras de moda, it girls y bloggers de todo el mundo usándolas y viéndose tan chic como siempre.
La clave para lograr este estilo sería buscar zapatillas que agreguen diseño y color al conjunto y mantener el resto de las prendas simples y clásicas.
Adidas Originals desde hace tiempo viene trayendo modelos muy frescos y urbanos a las calles así que estaba buscando un poco de inspiración en zapatillas en su página y armé esta wishlist. Tengo que confesar que mis favoritas son las Gazelle con el estampado de ananás, cuál es el suyo?

Here is my poncho!

Finalmente pude comprarme mi poncho! Como quizás recuerden de mis posts anteriores, estaba buscando un poncho porque es una de las tendencias que tenía muchas ganas de probar. Tenía en mente dos opciones en particular y estoy muy contenta de haberme podido comprar el de India Style que era el que más me gustaba. Este poncho me parece absolutamente hermoso, me encantan los estampados geométricos y los colores que tiene. Me parece que es muy arriesgado pero elegante al mismo tiempo. Así que estoy muriendo de ganas de que haga más frío para usarlo! Qué les parece?

I was finally able to buy my poncho! As you may remember from one of my previous posts I was looking for a poncho because this is a trend I definitely wanted to try. I had two particular ponchos in my mind and I am really really happy that I bought the one from India Style, which was the one that I liked the most. This poncho is absolutely stunning, I love the geometrical prints and the colors. I think it's very edgy but still elegant. So I'm dying to have colder days to use it! What do you think?

This russian editor of Buro 24/7 is the ultimate risk taker in fashion, she always uses clothes that may be risky because she is very petite (she is only 1.50 mts tall) but she always manages to get amaizing outfits. Over the knee boots, oversize coats,bright colors, prints, hats and skirts are the key elements of her style and as a petite size myself I find constant inspiration from her.
