Advent Calendars Wishlist

Advent Calendar Wishlist 2020

Advent calendars are something relatively new to me since it's not common in Argentina, the country where I come from. There is not an Advent tradition there so I never thought about buying an Advent calendar until I moved to Croatia.

I feel like it's such a nice and special way to get ready for Christmas and it makes the holiday season so much better because it's not only one day but a whole month that you celebrate and receive little present until Christmas day.

Advent calendars come in all shapes and forms, you have the traditional chocolate ones, the makeup, and skincare ones, which are definitely my favorites, but you can also find tea advent calendars and also gin and tonic ones. There is one option perfect for everyone and I think that is why they are so popular.

I think in these uncertain times in which we are not sure how the holiday season is going to be like, having a little ritual that gives us comfort and a bit of happiness every day sounds like a great idea. Therefore, I wanted to put up this wishlist with the Advent calendar I would like to shop this season.

High end

The Dior Beauty Advent Calendar has to be my ultimate advent calendar dream, not only because I love Dior beauty products but also because the design of this calendar is absolutely dreamy and stunning. It's like an actual piece of art!

The Net-a-Porter 25 day Beauty Advent Calendar is the perfect option for the luxury skincare lover. This one has a very elegant and sleek design in black and white which looks really chic.

More affordable

L'Occitane is one of those Advent calendar classics that we wait for it every year. This 2020 Signature Advent Calendar has a great selection of products, and it has a good price point but they also have a luxury version which is a little bit more expensive, so it great they offer different options for every budget.

The Douglas Advent Calendar has a very cute and simple design but it really caught my attention, I like the around the world theme and I also think it includes a good selection of different brands and beauty products, so it's a great option if you would like to try more than one brand.

The Revolution Advent Calendar is without a doubt an excellent option for the makeup fanatics because it includes some great makeup goodies from the brand at a very affordable price. This is another one that I'm seriously considering getting because I think it offers great value for the money.

I think that would be all for my Advent Calendar wishlist, I will make sure to let you know if I buy any of these. Which one is your favorite? Or if you have any other advent calendar in your wishlist let me know :)

The Perfect Transitional Coat

Bershka Faux Suede Transitional Trench Coat

One of the things that I love the most about transitional fashion is that is the time of the year in which we are allowed to mix a lot of different pieces, we can wear blazers, denim jackets, leather jackets, coats, boots, or flats, pants, skirts or dresses. I would say that we can rotate all the pieces in our wardrobe and make some amazing combinations.

The star piece for the fall season is definitely a trench coat because it's lightweight but still gets you covered, so it's perfect for those days when is not so cold yet to wear a proper coat or a heavier jacket.

In addition, trench coats are super versatile, elegant, and chic, so they can elevate any outfit and they always give you those cool Parisian vibes, and who doesn't want that? Also, there are a lot of different types of trench coats in the market so it's easy to find the one that suits you the best.

In my case, I have bought this faux suede trench coat at Bershka during their summer sale and I was eagerly waiting for the temperatures to cool down so I could get a chance to wear it. I love that it's very casual and chic at the same time, the color goes perfectly with everything and it has the perfect length for my height. It has become my most worn piece of the season.

I paired it with this Zara black t-shirt and this gorgeous embroidered skirt that I haven't worn in a long time and to be honest, I can't see why because it looks so good and it's perfect for this transitional weather.

I hope you like this outfit and please tell me do you have a favorite transitional piece? Is it a trench coat or maybe a leather jacket? I would love to know :)

3 Korean Skincare Products I Would Totally Repurchase

3 Korean Skincare Products I Would Repurchase

Korean Skincare is still a big trend in the beauty world and it's definitely one of my favorites because in the K-Beauty world you are able to find some products that have amazing quality for some very convenient prices.

Korean products are very popular because they usually have great formulas with amazing ingredients such as Centella Asiatica, niacinamide, etc. Therefore are very effective and also they are very appropriate products for sensitive skin because the ingredient list tends to be very clean.

I have been lucky enough to try some amazing products which have quickly become favorites and staples of my everyday skincare routine. So for today's post, I would like to share with you some products that I have used and that I would repurchase for sure :)

Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop

This was one of the first Korean products I have tried in my life and I'm so happy I did because after seeing the amazing results it had on my skin I was totally converted to the K-Beauty world. This 5% vitamin C serum also has Centella Asiatica, the star ingredient for Korean skincare, which helps a lot to reduce inflammation and to soothe the skin, while vitamin C helps to brighten it. I have a complete review of this product with before and after pictures that I recommend you take a look at in case you are interested in trying this product.

Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream

I'm such a huge fan of BB creams because I love having a natural makeup look, so this type of product help you to achieve that perfect no-makeup look while at the same time they hydrate and protect your skin since most BB cream has sunscreen.

I was very surprised when I tried this one from Missha for many reasons, the first one being the shade. I was a little bit worried that the shade may be to light for me but I'm using the shade number 25 (Warm Beige) and it blends perfectly with my skin and has very nice light coverage. It also absorbs very quickly and it feels like you are wearing nothing, so that's a big plus for me!

Another thing that really surprised my is that this BB cream has only 20ml which doesn't seem like a lot of product but actually a little goes a long way, so even though I bought it last year and I use it regularly for my everyday make up look, I haven't run out of product yet.

COSRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser

This is a very gentle gel cleanser that feels very hydrating to the skin. I personally love the texture because the gel turns into a creamy texture more than a foamy texture and I think that's why it doesn't feel stripping to the skin. This product has a little bit of fragrance but as I wash it off it wasn't a big issue for me.

I hope you find this post helpful and I would love to hear your thoughts on Korean skincare. Also please let me know which are your personal favorites in the comments, I'm always excited to try new products!

Last Summer Outfit for a Day in Opatija

Last Summer Outfit in Opatija

Slowly but surely summer days are now behind us but before fall has officially started I had the chance to go on a day trip to Opatija to enjoy my last day at the beach for this season.

I felt very grateful that in the middle of September I was able to wear this kind of outfit which is for sure something I would wear for those very hot days as I have mentioned in one of my previous posts. Luckily, the weather here in Croatia was really perfect and sunny these last few days so I even had the chance to have a swim, I couldn't be any happier, to be honest! :)

I have visited Opatija before a few times and I have even written a post with my top recommendations on what to see and do there but this place always amazes me! Every time I found new perfect spots for photos and as it was the end of the season everything was really nice and tranquil.

My friend and I arrived at noon and went first to have a coffee, which was absolutely delicious, and then we had a nice walk looking for the best locations for our pictures. After that, we grabbed some sandwiches, ate with the beautiful sea view, and then went straight to the beach.

The sea was perfect and on the beach, there was plenty of space so social distancing was not a problem ;)

Now let's talk about the outfit, I was wearing another of my recent Zara purchases,
this green floral skirt, which is actually a pair of shorts (how convenient, right?) has been in my summer wishlist for so long and when I saw it was on sale, I knew I had to have them! I think the green color is really classic and easy to style and I also love the fit and how flattering it looks. I would totally say this is also another summer staple that I would be wearing next year as well.

I paired the skirt with this Zara basic white t-shirt, which I love because it has that nice interesting shape on the shoulders but without having the shoulder pads, which I actually like and I think that they are super trendy but I don't think they look so good on me, so it's great that I can get that look without them ;)

Anyway, I'm very happy I was able to visit the sea before the temperatures start to get lower and also that I was able to wear these recent purchases. I still have to change my wardrobe and put on the cozy and warm pieces on my closet, how is it going for you so far? Have you already changed your closet to your fall wardrobe or not like me? Let me know in the comments! Hope you had enjoyed the post! :)

Zara Fall Favorites

I have the feeling that every year at the beginning of fall I always found myself writing this same kind of post. I have to say in my defense that I always feel very excited with the change of the seasons (and I know I'm not the only one right?) because it's a time for renewal in general and what better way to channel this new energy than with some new pieces to incorporate to our wardrobe.

I love making wishlist because I feel like they help me focus on the pieces that I would really like to have from the new collections and then I just go to the store and look for my favorites, instead of just roaming around and not finding anything I like. It's much better also when it comes to staying inside your budget, so you won't get tempted by other pieces which you haven't considered before.

For me, this is especially important with brands like Zara because they are constantly adding new great pieces and I feel like every week I find something else that I like. So for today's post, I would like to share some of my favorites I have found in Zara for fall. Although I would like to have some more summer days, these great pieces get me super excited for the days to come. There is always something nice to appreciate in every season :)

Jackets and Coats

Blazers

Skirts and Shorts

Dresses

I hope you like the pieces I have chosen and please let me know if you already have some favorites for the new season :)
